2014 - Photographs of a Bald Eagle's Nest at Neck Pt. Park, Nanaimo

Photographs of a Bald Eagle's Nest and Young Eagle Chick at Neck Pt. Park in Nanaimo - 2014
We first found this Bald Eagle Nest in July 2013. We returned in April 2014 to see if the Eagles had returned and were raising any chicks.
We could see that the adult Eagles were very attentive to 'something' in the nest, but it wasn't until May 7 that we got our first glimpse of a baby Eagle.
While last year, the adult Eagles were able to raise 3 chicks, it appears that this year there is only one baby Eagle in the nest.
But, as you can see below, the chick is growing very quickly.
